I was meeting my boyfriends aunt and uncle and their five children, they had a white mastiff. I accidently sat on the dogs paw and apologised, then it got it's paw stuck in the chair, so I helped it. The dog then went to my boyfriend's aunt and uncle and acted like I'd hurt it severly. They went into the kitchen and asked me to come with so we could talk about it, but I stayed outside and told one of their children what happened. Then, I went into the kitchen to see them all dressed in formal clothes, saying they were taking me to court for animal abuse. I followed them up the stairs and said "Courts rule in favour of people dressed in nice clothes!!" and they said "poor you". I drove to court, still in my normal clothes with my lawyer friend, another friend and my boyfriend. I went to the toilet before the case opened and saw I'd started my period onto white underwear, so I put a pad on and rushed to the court room, but it had already finished. They won and I had to pay £50 to "baggliomenio". I saw them standing outside the court room saying "that's what you get for not turning up". I walk up to them and they ask where I was, I tell them and then his aunt accuses me of being judgemental of how many children they have. A veterinarian/ lawyer who was on the jury walks over and says "you can't hurt a dogs paw solely by sitting on it" and I start crying because I would never want to hurt the dog and now it was on my permanent record that I was a dog abuser.

This dream seems to revolve around themes of vulnerability, fear of judgment, and issues of self-image. You may be grappling with feelings about how you want to be perceived by your boyfriend’s family and the social norms surrounding you. Additionally, the fear of being misunderstood plays a crucial role—wanting to be seen as kindhearted while fearing that your deeds will be misconstrued.
The journey through the court reflects your deep concerns regarding criticism and how society or familial expectations can weigh heavily on you. This suggests a need for acceptance and understanding from those around you, along with a desire for forgiveness and clarity in misunderstandings.
In waking life, it may be beneficial to explore these feelings further, fostering open communication with your boyfriend's family while being mindful of the pressures that societal norms can impose. Emphasizing your true intentions and seeking genuine connections may help ease these inner conflicts as you navigate social circles.
